Miss Sharon - Studio Director

Sharon founded her dance studio in 1983, driven by a lifelong passion for the art of movement and education. Her journey began with her very first dance class under the guidance two influential figures who helped shape her early foundation.

A proud graduate of the Boston Conservatory of Performing Arts, Sharon brings a deep academic and artistic understanding of dance to her teaching. She is classically trained in the Cecchetti method of ballet and has dedicated much of her career to passing on this disciplined, elegant technique to generations of students.

Sharon further expanded her training with summer intensives at the iconic Broadway Dance Center in New York City, where she studied a wide range of styles and worked with some of the industry's top choreographers and instructors.

Now, with over four decades of experience, Sharon remains at the heart of her studio, committed to nurturing talent, building confidence, and fostering a love of dance in every student who walks through her doors.

”It’s not just about choreography — it’s about watching students discover their confidence, express their emotions, and connect through movement. Every class is a reminder of how powerful dance can be. I am grateful to share this art every day.”

Miss Stacey- Jazz & Tap Instructor

Stacey’s journey in dance began at a young age and truly flourished when she joined SAL during high school. Her passion for movement, performance, and personal growth led her to pursue a degree in Dance, alongside an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Social Work—blending her love for the arts with a deep understanding of people.

Always committed to her craft, Stacey has trained extensively in both Boston and New York City, continuing her professional development with leading instructors and choreographers. Her teaching style reflects her diverse background—focused, expressive, and supportive, with a strong foundation in technique and a heart for her students' overall growth.

Stacey specializes in jazz and tap, but she brings energy and enthusiasm to every style she teaches. Whether it’s guiding young dancers through their first recital or coaching seasoned students toward performance goals, Stacey finds joy in the process—especially in seeing the progress her dancers make year after year.

Her unique blend of artistry and insight makes her not just an educator, but a mentor—dedicated to creating a positive, inspiring, and empowering space for every student she teaches.

Miss Cassandra - Hip Hop Instructor

Cassandra has been immersed in dance for as long as she can remember, but it’s choreography that has truly fueled her passion. With a sharp creative eye and a deep connection to movement, she’s choreographed for local competition cheer teams, school plays, and dance teams—always bringing fresh ideas and a bold perspective to the stage.

Her journey with hip hop began in 2002, when she took her first official class and instantly connected with the raw energy and cultural depth of the style. Since then, she’s become a pillar of the hip hop program at SALs, teaching for over 20 years and leading with both precision and heart.

Cassandra has trained in Boston, Washington, D.C., and New York City, always seeking new inspiration and pushing herself to grow—not just as a dancer, but as an educator. Her classes reflect that mindset: grounded in fundamentals, rooted in respect for the culture, and always evolving.

She heads up SALs’ hip hop crew Max Capacity, known for its powerful presence and numerous high achievements and national titles. To Cassandra, hip hop is more than movement—it’s legacy, expression, and connection. Her favorite quote, “Hip Hop Lives,” is more than just a motto—it’s a daily reminder to honor the roots, respect the pioneers, and move the culture forward with purpose.

Miss Emma- All Styles

Emma has been dancing at the Sharon Arnold Lux School of Dance since she was six years old, when she took her very first class with fellow SAL instructor Cassandra Grant. What began as a childhood passion grew into a lifelong dedication to the art of dance and the joy of teaching.

She went on to attend the Dean College School of Dance, where she earned her degree in dance and deepened her training in both performance and pedagogy. Today, Emma teaches Irish, modern, pointe, lyrical, and musical theatre.

In addition to teaching, Emma performs regularly in musical theatre productions and local shows, staying closely connected to the stage. Known for her supportive teaching style and love of creative expression, she is committed to helping each student grow in both confidence and technique—all while having fun and finding their own voice through dance.

Emma is the creative force behind SAL’s Modern Competition Team, which she proudly developed to give dancers a space to explore bold, expressive movement. With a passion for innovation, Emma brings fresh ideas and original choreography to the stage each season. She loves watching her dancers connect deeply with the music and storytelling, and she's dedicated to pushing boundaries while keeping the work meaningful and inspiring.

Miss Melissa- Acrobatics

Melissa has been dancing for as long as she can remember, with a special love for tumbling and acrobatics that has shaped much of her journey. She began tumbling in middle school on her undefeated cheer team and carried that passion through high school, college, and beyond—performing, competing, and coaching at every level.

Melissa's skill and dedication earned her a spot with the National Cheerleaders Association, where she taught and mentored athletes statewide. After college, she continued her training and performance on elite all-star cheer and tumble teams, further refining her technique and building her coaching experience.

At SAL’s, Melissa brings high energy, technical precision, and a deep commitment to helping every student feel confident and strong. She’s passionate about building core skills safely while encouraging a love of movement in every class.

What she loves most about SAL’s is the sense of pride and community the studio creates—a true second home for dancers. As both an instructor and a parent, Melissa sees firsthand how the studio fosters positivity and growth. Her own daughter takes class at SAL’s and continues to thrive in the supportive, family-like environment Melissa holds so close to her heart.

Miss Kaileigh- Combo Classes

Kaileigh has loved dance for most of her life. She began with ballet and tap at just five years old, then rediscovered her passion in middle school, where she and her friends would spend countless hours choreographing routines just for the fun of it. By her freshman year of high school, Kaileigh was dancing on the school’s dance team and taking classes at a local studio. It was the following year that she found Sharon’s—and everything changed.

From the moment she stepped through the doors, Sharon’s became her second home. She danced four nights a week, fully immersing herself in classes, choreography, and the studio’s vibrant, supportive community. Her love for dance continued through college, where she stayed committed to training and performing all the way through her senior year.

After taking a few years off to become a full-time dance mom, Kaileigh is thrilled to be back—this time, as part of the teaching staff. Her daughter now shares the same passion, taking multiple classes at Sharon’s, and her 4-year-old son is already showing signs of a future performer, dancing and moving to music at home.

Kaileigh brings warmth, energy, and firsthand experience to every class, and she’s excited to help the next generation of dancers find their rhythm, their confidence, and their second home at Sharon’s—just like she did.
